HT Blinds (“HT Blinds,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect on htblinds.ca, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and the forms on it.

Who we are

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out a form or contact us, we collect the details you provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, project type, the address where work is to be done, and any message, measurements, photos, or videos you send. Specifically:

• Quote and contact requests — name, email, phone, project type, and message.
• Service requests — submitted through our service request form, which is hosted by Jotform. This may include your name, install address, contact details, a description of the issue, and optional photo or video uploads.
• Email sign-ups — if you opt in to our newsletter or promotions, your name and email address.

Information we collect automatically. When you visit the site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you interact with the site. See “Cookies and tracking technologies” below.

How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

• respond to your inquiries and provide quotes, consultations, measurements, installation, and service;
• process and follow up on service and warranty requests;
• send marketing or promotional emails where you have consented, and let you unsubscribe at any time;
• operate, maintain, and improve the website and understand how it is used;
• show and measure advertising, including remarketing to people who have visited the site; and
• meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, analytics, and advertising. A cookie consent banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies, and you can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Declining non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to request a quote or contact us.

We use the following categories:

• Essential — needed for the site and its forms to work.
• Analytics — Google Analytics 4, to understand site usage. You can opt out using Google’s browser add-on.
• Advertising — Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, used to measure and deliver advertising, including remarketing. We may add other advertising partners (for example, LinkedIn) in the future.

Advertising and analytics partners

We work with third-party analytics and advertising partners — currently Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — that may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure performance and show you our ads on other sites and platforms. These partners process information under their own privacy policies. You can control ad personalization through Google Ads Settings, Meta’s ad preferences, and the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada opt-out tools.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business and as described here:

• Service providers (processors) that help us operate, including: Jotform (service request forms), Klaviyo and/or our internal tools (email marketing), our CRM (managing inquiries and projects), Google and Meta (analytics and advertising), and Cloudflare (website hosting and security). These providers may only use your information to perform services for us.
• Legal and safety reasons — if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect our rights, property, or safety and that of others.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

Email marketing

If you opt in, we may send you newsletters and promotional emails using Klaviyo or our own tools. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time; we send commercial electronic messages only in accordance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Opting out of marketing email does not stop service-related messages about a quote, order, install, or service request.

Storage, retention, and international transfer

We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here and to meet our legal obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it. Some of our service providers (including Google, Meta, Jotform, Klaviyo, and Cloudflare) are located in the United States or other countries, so your personal information may be stored or processed outside Canada and may be subject to the laws of those countries.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy rights

Under PIPEDA and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to request a correction, and to withdraw your consent (which may limit our ability to provide certain services). To make a request, contact us at info@htblinds.ca. We will respond within the time required by law. If you have a concern we cannot resolve, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

Children’s privacy

This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and post the updated version on this page.
